In a move to give a new lease of life to burn victims and survivors of acid attacks and accidents, a FREE Plastic Surgery Camp called “Umeed ek nayi zindagi ki” has been organized by Rotary Club of Noida, which is currently being held from April 3 – 11, 2019 at Prakash Hospital, Sector-33, Noida.
Patients (burn accidents & acid attack victims, birth deformities, etc.) can get themselves registered on mobile number – 9650000310 to avail of the free treatment and follow-up consultations over the course of the year. Besides free treatment, patients will be provided additional services such as accomodation during treatment as well as medicines.
A well-known 7-member international team of doctors, nurses, and technicians has been flown in to carry out these plastic surgeries in Noida, which includes reputed Plastic Surgeons Dr. Eva Maria Baur (Germany) and Dr. Rajmond Pikula (Austria). Already more than 10 patients have been treated in this FREE Camp so far.
This is the third drive of the Rotary Club of Noida, in association with Prakash Hospital, Rotary Noida Blood Bank, and Gautam Budh Healthcare Foundation. About 50 such patients have been treated over the past 2 years. The aim of this camp is to treat patients who are unable to get proper medical treatment due to lack of funds.
“The camp is supported by former Rotarians and office-bearers. We have received much support from various groups that are willing to come forward and help such patients. Our aim is to highlight grave societal issues such as acid attacks and tell the world that these incidents cannot and should not halt someone’s life.” as per Mr.Sudhir Walia, President, Rotary Club of Noida.
